Life is made up of experiences common to us all: the days of innocence…the struggles of growing…love’s hurts and ultimate victories…and the continual discovery of life’s perfect simplicity, a true gift given to all who understand it. The stories of these experiences will be told by The Aspen Meadow Band in a concert entitled “Simplicity” on Saturday, September 8th 2012 at 2:00pm. The music will span many eras and express life’s feeling using Rock ‘n Roll, Pop, Country, and Easy Listening, to name a few. Songs with meaningful lyrics will be heard like Get Together…Turn, Turn, Turn…Man In The Mirror…Bridge Over Troubled Water…Waiting All My Life…yet songs whose melodies are uplifting and bring a sense of hope. Live dancing, video clips, and pictures will all be presented to help communicate the experience we call “Simplicity”. This promises to be a truly meaningful and very entertaining afternoon.
The Simplicity concert will be held at the Aspen Meadow Amphitheater (the same address as the Christmas Light Display) which seats 300, and put on by musicians and dancers at various stages of their life experience. It will be a true family time and we invite you to bring lawn chairs, blankets, a picnic lunch and be ready to listen to music that’s sure to touch the hearts of all who hear it on this late summer afternoon. Admission is free (any donations will be given to local charities) but we do need you to please register for no-cost tickets to reserve a spot. The Christmas concerts sold out in two weeks, so it would be good to get your tickets early. We sincerely hope to see you there.
