We had such a fantastic time with everyone who made it out on Saturday. Despite the weather we had a great turnout and a lot of fun. We certainly played “a Little Bit of This & a Little Bit of That” and there was something there for everyone. We can’t wait to do it again.

The Aspen Meadow Band would like to invite you and your friends and family to join us for an afternoon of music and fun in our amphitheater. We would love for you to come and help us close out the summer with an assortment of musical genres, including classic rock, folk, blues, country and more.

This is going to be a family-oriented event, based around having fun and enjoying the wonders of music with one another. Feel free to bring a picnic if you would like, water, soda, and juice will be provided.

Molalla Relay for Life – Saturday 6/11

Tomorrow, June 10th, we again get the opportunity to play our music for the Molalla Relay for Life, a cancer benefit in Molalla, Oregon at the Molalla High school. We feel so blessed to be able to share the music of our hearts for such an important event.

It is a heart touching time to see the hundreds of people walking and working to support the many lives affected by cancer. We have felt so honored to be a part of such a wonderful evening. This is one of the most special musical opportunities for us.

Special announcement:
The Nelson boys will again be playing with us! Danny and Sam Nelson are two young men with incredible musical talent!

The Nelson Boys and our group will be playing from 5:30 to 7:00pm. You don’t want to miss this event! We hope to see you there!

Annual Portland Firefighter’s Adult Muscular Dystrophy Camp

Wednesday June 8th we again were blessed to be a part of the annual Portland Firefighter’s Adult Muscular Dystrophy camp. This was our 3rd opportunity to be a part of such a special event.

The tradition for the evening has been that we provide karaoke for the campers so they can have fun sharing their music. What a wonderful time it is for all of us to see so many of the campers so excited to sing for all of us! We even got to sing backup for many of their songs!

For the last hour of the evening we played our musical favorites. It was a lot of fun for us to see the room full of many smiles as we were able to sing, dance, and enjoy sharing our music with such a wonderful group of people. And thank you campers and counselors for singing and dancing with us!!

We would like to extend a special thanks to camp Arrah Wannah and to the Portland Fire Fighters for giving all of us the wonderful experience to be a part of such an incredible event! And we especially want to thank all the campers for sharing your music and your heart’s with all of us for the evening. We can’t wait to be back with you next year! We hope you are enjoying the rest of your fun filled weekend!!

Windstar Earth Day Celebration 2011

We had a fantastic time the weekend of April 23rd playing at John Denver’s Windstar Foundation’s Earth Day Celebration at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado. Lots of people showed up including members of the Monument String Blazers. What a treat it was to share the stage with 10 year old Meredith who accompanied us on Thank God I’m A Country Boy with her fiddle.

Although it was snowing when we showed up, the weather soon improved and we even caught some sunshine. Some of the organizations in attendance were Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, The Cloud Foundation, Defenders of Wildlife, REC Solar, and Plants & Animals Denver. It was a blast to go on Denver’s Channel 9 Colorado and Company morning show to advertise this fantastic event. You can see the clip here.
